General Ledger in FICO

SAP General Leger is used to record all financial business transaction. 

Chart of Accounts

SAP chart of accounts represent the list of GL accounts that are used to meet the daily needs and operating country legal requirement of a company.  The master chart of accounts must be assigned to each company code in the system.

The different Chart of Accounts (COA)

Operation Chart of Accounts where it contains all the General Ledger accounts that are used to record all transactions of a company.  The operating chart of accounts has to be assigned to a company code.
Country Chart of Accounts where it contains a list of all General Ledger accounts that are required to meet the operating country legal requirements.  You can also assign a company chart of accounts to the company code.
Chart of Accounts Group where the COA group contains a list of all the G/L accounts that are used by the whole company.

Creating a new Chart of Accounts

Tcode: OB13


 

Although you can choose Controlling Integration as automatic, it is recommended to use “Manual creation of cost elements” .

As Group of Accounts is used for report consolidation, Unchecked the Blocked checkbox under the Status section.

Click the Save button once you are done.
