Fresh Install Done Login Problem

I did a Fresh install of 11i(11.5.9) on Win 2000 with Vision DB and all the test done by oracle in the post install is working fine. But whenever I go to http://hostname:8000 and type sysadmin/sysadmin in the user id password col, I get the log on screen again with the user id and pwd cols blank. If I retype the same sysadmin/sysadmin then I get the following :

Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, Administrator@lakshmiraj and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

I checked the Apache error log and found this line :

Filename is not valid: d:/oracle/visncomn/portal/visn_hemasundar2/redirecturl$url=$|servlets$|weboam$|oam$|oamapps$$target$=visn

Can anyone of you help me out here to at least login to the oracle application managers screen

Try logging in directly to the applications via:

http://hostname:port/dev60cgi/f60cgi

Check out the values for profiles set at the system level. Some of them may reference the settings of the vision demonstration database that was installed at oracle corporation - which obviously may not apply to your environment. Also, Perhaps an incorrectly specified dbc file has been mentioned. This file is typically found in :

%FND_TOP%/secure

Check if some of your profile values are using values that are incorrect. I found the likes of this happened to me, when i installed the vision database. You may not experience this if you install a PROD or TEST instance.

I tried http://hostname:8000/dev60cgi/f60cgi and got "The page cannot be found" error.
I tried reformatting the Harddisk and reinstalling 2000 svr and Ora Appl but still no effect.

Am I missing some environment variables? What environment variables should I copy into the registry and make sure they are available to the system?

Oh I forgot What file name should I use for starting the applications in the http://hostname:port/dev60cgi/f60cgi link

1. Start oracle 9i database and net listener - like you would otherwise

2. %APPLCSF%/scripts/<Install_name>

contains scripts to start all app services , there is probably one called adstral.cmd that starts em all. you may want to use that instead.
