Define Your Plant Sections

What is the purpose of Plant Section?

The plant section enables you to subdivide the maintenance plant from the point of view of production responsibility. The person responsible for the plant section is the contact for coordination between production and plant maintenance.  The plant section can be used for evaluation purposes.

Every piece of equipment and functional location can be assigned to a plant section.

You can also specify a plant section when processing maintenance tasks.

Follow this IMG Menu Path:

IMG -> Plant maintenance and customer service -> Master data in Plant maintenance and customer service -> Technical object -> General Data -> Define Plant Sections

Field:

Plnt - Key identifying plant.

Plant Section - Key identifying the plant section. E.g. 100

PersResponsible - Name of person responsible

Phone - Contact phone number

Plant Section Mandatory in Particular Notification Type

How can I make plant section in location tab in notification for particular notification type?

The Path is SPRO -> Plant Maintenance -> Maintenance and Service processing -> Maintenance and Service orders -> Define field selection for Order Header Data (PM) -> Field selection for Location/Account Assignment data

As said in the above path (OIAZ), you may still need to go to Location Tab every time, so you can check the option via user exit:
