SAP PM Support Ticket:
I tried to install equipment useing t-code: IE02. Why the system always display: "installing equipment is not allowed at function location ###." Even when I change other function location.
There are two basic prerequisite to install any equipment under the functional location:
1. In the functional location master data in structure tab "equipment installation allowed" should be activated.
2. In the customising against the equipment category installation allowed should be activated.
The path is SPRO - Plant maintenance and customer service - Master data - technical object - Equipment-Equipment usage period - Define installation at functional location.
See whether check box is ticked for the new category.
