Reference Mov Type Relate To WM Movement Types

How does the reference movement Types calls Wm movement types?

When you do any transactions in IM with IM mvt type which has warehouse management operation then system will check for reference movement type in assigned for IM mvt type in OMLR - Assign Ref to IM mvt type then it goes to table T321- LE-WM Interface to IM to pick the Warehouse mvt type.

Reference has no controlling function. You can assign one IM to many WM mvt types. Whenever system  do not find any suitable movement type in WM Mvt type, 999 is assigned.

Reference movement types will all act as a intermediate connecting Inventory and WM movement types.

The need is, it will give much flexibility to link IM and WM movement types.

For ex. IM movement type 101 with requirement B will be assigned as 101,
101 with F (for order) will be assigned to 103, for 103 you can configure different properties.

Based on the 103 you can have different properties in OMLR.

Kindly check the config. under SPRO-LE-WM-Interface-Inventory Mgmt.

Note:

The connection between movement types from Inventory Management and Warehouse Management is not direct: it is made using a reference movement type.

Go to
IMG -> Logistics Execution -> Warehouse Management -> Interfaces -> Inventory Management -> Define Movement Types

In this, first go to Assign WM Movement Type References to IM Movement Types - here you assign Reference Mvmt type to Inventory Mgmt MVT type.  Then in LE-WM Interface to Inventory Management you link Ref Mvmt type to WM Movement type.
