Yard Management Configuration In WM

SAP Yard Management (YM) extends warehouse management beyond the physical walls of the warehouse, enabling management and control from the time that goods are planned to arrive at the warehouse.

Define Number Range
Transaction Code OMLW

1. Transaction SPRO

Creating Storage Bins
Transaction Code LS10
2. Double-click the warehouse number 050 for which you want to create storage bins.
3. Select Environment à Create bins.
4. Choose Create online.
5. Confirm the information message.
6. Choose Next Entry.
7. Repeat steps 3-4 for all the warehouse 050 combinations.

8. Create Storage Bin WE-ZONE for WH 050, Storage Type 902: 

Transaction Code LS01

9. In Create Storage Bin Screen make the following Entry: 
Field name Value
Warehouse Number 050
Storage Type 902
Storage Bin WE-ZONE

10. Choose Enter: 
11. Enter  001  in field Storage Section.
12. Choose Save.

1. In the Number Range Object Maintenance screen, make the following entries:

2. Choose Number Range to confirm your entries.
3. Choose Interval in screen Collection of Number Ranges for SSCC Generation.
4. Make the entry:

Create a Yard Management handling unit

Material Type Packaging

Create packaging material to represent vehicle types

The purpose of this activity is to define vehicle types.

1. Access the activity using one of the following navigation options:

Define Yard Location Groups

2. In Change view - Yard location groups : Overview Screen, maintain the new entry as following:

Loc. Group 001
Loc. Class 05 Door
Short Text Door group 001
Text Door group 001

Define Yard Activity Number Range

Transaction Code SPRO
Enter Yard Y50 and click on change intervals. In the Insert Interval pop-up, enter:

Define Presentation Device and RF User
Transaction Code LYRDM
3. Enter your yard number and press execute.
Field Value
Yard Y50
4. Highlight your yard number and right mouse click.
5. Select Maintain presentation devices.
6. Press the insert button and enter your presentation device information.

7. Save your data and enter to return to the yard monitor.
8. In the Yard Monitor, highlight your yard number and right mouse click.
9. Select RF Users.
10. Create your RF user (must be a defined user) and assign to your presentation device.

11. Save your data.
