APO Forecast Transfer To ECC 6

Is it possible to transfer forecast from APO to ECC6 only from a defined period or on a defined period, per business team (DY or DS)?

Yes it is definitely possible.

4 key set up steps to achieve your requirements.

1. Create a transfer profile (SAPAPO/MC8U) for the key figure you want to transfer.

a) Choose Demand Planning -> Environment -> Current Settings -> Maintain Transfer Profiles.

b) In the Transfer Profile screen, enter a name for your transfer profile.

c) Choose Create.

d) Make the following entries:

- Planning area

- Key figure

- Planning version

- Characteristic - product

- Characteristic - location

- Requirements type

- Version

- Active

e) Choose Profile -> Save.

2. Create a planning book/data view that controls the period and periodicity of what you want to send to ECC. (e.g., 3 months in weekly buckets).

3. Create an activity (/SAPAPO/MC8T) against that planning book/data view using the R3 Transfer Profile tab where you assign the transfer profile.

a) Choose Demand Planning -> Planning -> Demand Planning in the Background -> Define Activities for Mass Processing.

b) In the Activity screen, enter a name and a short description for the activity.

c) Choose Create.

d) In the Header Settings box enter the planning book from which you wish to transfer the data.

e) On the Transfer profile tab, enter the name of the transfer profile you want to be used.

g) Check and, if necessary, change the sequence number in the Action counter field. You use the scroll buttons on the right hand side of the field to change the sequence of the actions.

h) For example, executing a macro might be action 1 and transferring to an ERP system might be action 2.

i) Choose Edit -> Accept action.

The action appears in the Actions box on the right of the screen.

If you need to delete an action, place your cursor on it and click Delete action. If you do this, the system automatically renumbers the remaining actions.

j) Repeat steps e) to h) until you have finished entering your actions.

k) Choose Activity -> Save.

4. Create a job (/SAPAPO/MC8D) to which you assign the activity and where you define the selection to be transferred.

a) Choose Demand Planning -> Planning -> Demand Planning in the Background -> Create Demand Planning in the Background.

b) Enter a name and a short description for the planning job.

c) Choose Planning job -> Execute.

- The initial Create Planning Job screen appears.

d) Enter the planning book and the data view you specified in the activity, as well as the name of the planning version for which you want to run the job.

e) Choose Planning job -> Execute.

The second Create Planning Job screen appears.

f) Enter the activity you want to carry out in this job.

g) Specify whether the system should generate a job log.

f) Make the following entries:

- One

- Several

- Select all

- Aggregation level

h) Choose Planning job -> Save.

When running, some prerequisites you need to be aware of:

Product/Locations must be maintained in APO.

If you are not using 9ALOCNO and 9AMATNR as your characteristics for Location and Material you must assign the characteristics you are using for Location and

Materials to the Planning Object Structure in /SAPAPO/MSDP_ADMIN. Open the PLOB and in Edit->Assign Product/Location enter the characteristics.
