"SAP
S4 HANA Production and Manufacturing Certification"
These questions are
similar to those asked in the actual test. How should I know? I know because,
although I have been working as an SAP HANA & SAP PP Consultant for
many years, I have recently certified myself with the latest version of
the Associate Certification test.
Before you start,
here are some key features of the SAP Certified Application Associate -
SAP S/4 HANA Production Planning and Manufacturing Exam:
-
This certification exam
verifies that the candidate has the knowledge required in the area of SAP
S/4 HANA Production Planning and Manufacturing.
-
This certificate builds
on the basic knowledge gained through related SAP HANA and SAP Production
Planning and Manufacturing training and is preferably refined by practical
experience within an SAP HANA Production Planning and Manufacturing project
team, whereby the consultant applies acquired knowledge in this specialist
area practically in projects.
The exam is computer-based,
and you have three hours to answer 80 questions. The questions are mostly
multiple-choice type, and there is no penalty for an incorrect answer.
Some questions have more than one correct answer. You must get all the
options correct to be awarded points. For questions with a single answer,
the answers will have a button next to them. You will be able to select
only one button. For questions with multiple answers, the answers will
have a tick box next to them, allowing you to select multiple answers.
You are not allowed
to use any reference materials during the certification test (no access
to online documentation or any SAP system).
Clearing the certification
will not automatically lead you to a job. However, a certification with
some project experience will certainly open many doors for you. So, if
you have little or no experience, you should get yourself certified, gain
some project experience, and then the whole SAP world will be open for
you to explore.

Sample Questions and Answers
1) Material requirement planning is
completed, and the system uses the planned order for external procurement
quantity. Then, into which of the following will the order be converted?
(There are two answers to the question)
(a) Production order
(b) Sales order
(c) Purchase order
(d) Purchase requisition
Answer: c, d
Explanation:
Within-house, the system creates planned
orders for planning the production quantities. When planning is complete,
planned orders can be converted into production orders.
With external procurement, the system either
uses a planned order or uses a purchase requisition directly to plan the
external procurement quantity. When planning is complete, the order is
converted into a purchase requisition, which is subsequently converted
to a purchase order.
Using the creation indicator for purchase
requisitions on the initial screen of the planning run, you control whether
the system immediately creates purchase requisitions directly or first
creates planned orders.
2) Which of the following internal planning
elements can be changed, rescheduled, or deleted at almost any time?
(There are two answers to the question)
(a) Planned orders
(b) Material reservations
(c) Dependent requirements
(d) Purchase requisitions
Answer: a, d
Explanation:
Material requirements planning takes current
and future sales as its reference point. The planned requirement quantities
trigger the MRP calculation. In MRP, the requirements elements include
sales orders, planned independent requirements, material reservations,
the dependent requirements created by exploding the BOM, and so on.
If the MRP run determines shortage quantities,
the system creates proposals: purchase requisitions and planned orders.
These are internal planning elements that can be changed, rescheduled,
or deleted at almost any time.
3) You are trying to make an entry in the
planning file for a material, but the system is not giving you the option
to do that. Which of the following is the reason?
(Only one answer is correct)
(a) The plant parameters have not been
maintained
(b) The MRP views for the material have
not been maintained
(c) The material requirement planning
for the plant has not been activated
(d) Both a and b
Answer: c
Explanation:
In the Customizing activity "Activate MRP
and Set up Planning File", you can specify for which plant an MRP run is
to be carried out by activating material requirements planning. You can
only make entries in the planning file once this indicator has been set,
which means that:
-
When a material that is relevant for MRP is
created, the system copies the material number to the planning file and
flags it for planning.
-
Whenever a change relevant to MRP is made,
the system flags the material for planning.
4) Which level will take priority as the
settings for material requirement planning are possible at three levels?
(Only one answer is correct)
(a) Material master
(b) MRP group
(c) Plant parameters
(d) Material number
Answer: a
Explanation:
The settings for material requirements
planning are controlled on three levels:
-
Material master (MRP views)
-
MRP group (Customizing step Carry out Overall
Maintenance of MRP Groups)
-
Plant parameters (Customizing step Carry out
Overall Maintenance of Plant Parameters)
If a setting is possible on several levels,
the setting in the material master takes priority over the setting in the
MRP group to which the material is assigned. The setting in the MRP group
takes priority over the setting in the plant parameters.
