Notes to some important Fields No forex rate diff. when creating LC In Global parameters in company code there is a field "No forex rate difference, when clearing in Local Currency". What is the purpose of that? Answer: For e.g. Invoice was posted in foreign currency USD 1000 (exchange rate is 45 INR/USD). So Amount in Local currency INR is 45000 Payment was made in INR of 45,000 (at the time of payment exchange rate is 44 INR/USD). So if payment was made in USD then it would have been 1022 USD. So there is a difference of 22 USD which company lost in foreign currency. To conclude, if this field is selected in OBY6, system
will not post any forex line item while clearing above items in INR else
system will post difference of 22 USD.
Global CoCde We have a field called "Global Co Code" in the Tcode OBY6, If you want to maintain this field here, where I have to define Global co Code? Answer: You need to maintain the Cross co code for this and it has to be defined in OB72 Propose fiscal year and Define default value date In tcode OBY6 you can see 2 items: "propose fiscal year"
and "define default value date" with the option to flag it or not.
Does anybody know why some cocodes (ex USA, China, Australia) have this flag while others (Latin America) do not? Also, who decides whether they should be checked or not? Answer: This is a good question. Well to my knowledge: Proposed fiscal year check is used for In company codes which mainly work with year-dependent document numbers, you should select this field. This then means that not only the last document number processed but also the corresponding fiscal year are defaulted. Define default value date box is check then current date is taken as default value date. These are decided depending upon volume of business in that company code and business user takes the decision on what option when wants to select. |
