I noticed that on the PM Order,
in the Operations tab, there are fields so we can assign an equipment or
a functional location to a particular operation. However these fields are
blocked. How do I unblock these fields?
Answer The fields (Functional Location or Equipment) in the Operation of PM orders are used for Object linking functionality (Object Link to Operation). Some of the points for reference 1. You can link an object to the operation through Objects Tab in the PM order. 2. Enter/Select the object in the Objects Tab in the PM Order, then choose assignments (Assignment button) to operation and then copy assignment. These assigned Objects will appear in the Operation Tab of PM Order. To achieve these functionality, you need to do setting in configuration. Path: Maintenance and Service Processing -> Maintenance and Service Orders - Functional and setting for Order Types -> Define Notification and Order Integration: Enhance Object List Select the required Order type and Choose "Assignment of Operations to All Object list entries Active"
Field: Indicator for Enhanced Object List Functions Controls the automatic assignment of operations to object list entries (for example, notification, equipment, functional location), if a notification is assigned to an order. The operations are assigned using the task list specified in the notification. You can define in what range you allow the enhanced functions for the object list of the order: - Assignment of operations to object list entries inactive
- Assignment of operations to all notifications active
- Assignment of operations to all object list entries active
