Question 1
When I choose lead time scheduling in MRP RUN then system does forward scheduling always. Then in planned order change mode, when I manually do scheduling then it does backward scheduling as per settings in OPU5. How to get backward scheduling in MRP? Answer MRP do the backward scheduling but the system always determines the basic dates for planned orders using backward scheduling. The system automatically switches to forward scheduling if the determined start date lies in the past. For this you have to maintain 2 settings. 1) In OPPQ - Plant parameters maintain the indicator for start date in the past allow. 2) In OPU3 for your plant & order type, maintain the no. of days for start date in the past. --- Question 2 There is this problem with scheduling: I have capacity in the WC (cat 0008) allocated in the views Scheduling and Capacities. But when I schedule planned order before saving it (MD11), the system issues the ‘W’ message: “No capacity category has been maintained for scheduling in the work center specified in the operation”. The indicator “Capacity relevant to Finite scheduling” is set in the capacity. All customizing for planned orders seems to be correct. What could have possibly be wrong here? I also customized shifts and set Grouping in Capacity, but system does not take into account the breaks between shifts, and considers only Standard Available capacity. What is causing this too? Answer It may be the work center formulas. They must be enabled for capacity check. The planned order scheduling type (for your plant) must also have its own flag. --- Question 3 When I am creating a planned order thru MD11 and scheduling it, it is picking only one operation from the routing of the material for which the planned order is created. What could be the reason for this? Answer My problem is solved as the control key was not having the scheduling option ticked as it was for inspection and some of the operations were not having any activity time allocated. |
