What is workforce planning?
Workforce planning involves SAP HR module to provide a personnel number for use in determining the actual capacity and cost of providing an individual resource. It is used in relation to a Work Center, and Activity Type that have been entered against an Internal Network Activity (If Networks are used) or in Unit Costing. When a Personnel number is added to the person assignment tab of a Network Activity, SAP PS will determine the Capacity for the Work Center to perform the task. Entering the Personnel number assists in the process of confirming time in CATS. Data entered in the Network Activity is available for Capacity Planning and Leveling. Workforce Planning and Project Status When a project status is set back to REL from TECO or CLSD status, the work force planning done is getting deleted completely at the activity. Answer Run CMP9 (Evaluation again) and you will have workforce
planning back.
WorkForce Planning We are using CMP2 for doing workforce planning in our
Organization, we attach resources to activities, now the issue is we want
to put an end date to the resource attached so that the particular resource
does not appear in 'CMP2'.
Answer In CMP2 - mark the relevant line - press the bottom with
the pencil - make a new end date and save.
