Contract Elements (Infotype 0016)

In the Contract Elements infotype (0016), data related to the employee’s employment contract is stored.

IT 0016 - Contract Elements - This infotype is used to define, whether the employee is a permanent employee (unlimited contract), or a contract employee (limited contract). This infotype is also used to maintain the notice that the employee has to serve to the company, a company has to serve the employee & probation period etc.

Contractual Regulations

With the Contract type field, you can subdivide contracts of employment in accordance with the planned duration of the work relationship and the employee’s legal status.

You can or must also record the following information here:

- For temporary work relationships, you must enter the contract’s expiry date (valid until).

Contract Types Configuration

Steps to configure contract categories:

1. First check the available default setting.

2. If it is necessary, then you create new contract categories with the accompanying texts.
In the column Limited contract, enter the indicator X for limited contracts.

3. Delete any entries that are not required.

Notes

You can use contract categories for your own evaluations.  For example, in the feature Default values for contract elements (CONTR), you can generate defaults for the contract category in the infotype Contract Elements (0016), depending on the employee subgroup.
